What began as a recreation in wood carving and utility work slowly turned into a serious hobby

A portrayal of two horses in a mating ritual, one grooming the neck of the other on a rectangular piece of hardwood 10" x 8".

The background was painted black followed by a double coat of varnish. Used as a wall plaque.

Tools used - mallet, chisel, regular file and sandpaper.

A sturdy 3.5" x 3.5" x 1.5" box made by assembling separately cut plywood sheets.

The box was then decorated using a combination of water colors and sketch pens. Used for storing pins, cards and other stationery.
